Working on BFGoodrich Tires marked a happy overlap of my career and my automotive interests. I was hired at The Martin Agency as a freelance copywriter because the brand needed an authentic enthusiast voice. I then worked my way up to Creative Director on the account.
So, yes, there’s a lot of BFG here. That’s because it was my main focus for the better part of seven years. But more so it’s because I’m proud of the work. Despite always selling tires, it never felt one-dimenional. We did celebrity endorsement. Cutting-edge technology. Influencer strategy. Good old-fashioned storytelling. We even had a go at stunt-vertising. To use an obligatory driving metaphor, it was a good ride.
